I've named my new boy, and decided to go with Charlie. The pictures don't really show it, but he's quite tiny, far smaller than my CT Luck. His tank is rather bare at the moment, but I plan to set it up a bit more nicely in the future, probably when my his miniscule apple snail tankmates have grown large enough to put into my main tank. Here are a couple of pictures of him. He's a brighter blue today and his stress bars have largely gone. He's also eating

Quite a lovely boy, he reminds me of water colour paint or stain glass windows. You know how you get parts of painted glass that has deeper colour on the egses where the paint has run to and paler colours where the paint isn't on so thick.

A pretty boy. :good:

He's very pretty, I don't normally like the paler bettas. He reminds me of the dragon Haku from Spirited Away now that I think about it.

I've only ever had dark colored bettas, reds or blues. Aside from the pure white ones--which I've recently become very fond of--I always preferred the darker ones, but I couldn't ignore his sweet little face when I passed him in the shop. He was the smallest one there, and he sort of drifted toward me hopefully as I stood before him. I went back later in the day and snapped him up!

Sorry about the above double posting before, the computer had some type of hickup. Hopefully a MOD will remove the extra ones.

He really does look like stained glass. Such a pretty boy! Charlie is a great name too!

I have this theory about picking a pet, it's like the pet has to choose you as his owner as you choose it.
It sounds strange but happened to me.
