Yesterday i was fortunate to pick up of what could be a pair of belheri. On 3-4 occasions ive witnessed them swimming side by side rubbing head and body and what looks like them trying to wrap around each other.
Mostly when they do this they are totally peacful on a couple of occasions it looks like one's got fed up or frustrated and give a little nip to the other. They dont fight like some ive seen.

Have i been lucky enough to fall on a pair ?

Possibly.
Post up a pic, and I can sex them for you.

Thanks for your reply gasmask. I will try to get some pics up but everytime i try to upload a pic on here from my phone it says the file is too big. Any ideas ?

Not meaning to be a nudge, but isn't the proper name of this Fish Channa bleheri not belheri. I believe it is named after Heiko Bleher or one of the Bleher family members.

Please feel free to tell me I got it wrong if I did. I am not a snakehead fan but do surf Heiko's site :)

Hi, I had 2 bleheri, they got on really well for about 2 months just like yours are, but they started to fight, one being more dominant and was really relentless this came out of the blue, I had to split them up, I have never seen such an aggressive fish, actually seeking the other to attack it, anyway needless to say I haven't got them anymore, I have 5 channa pulchra now hoping to get a pair out of them.
