I want to get a python because mom goes mad when i change waters in my small tank and know iv got a big one i can see water been all over the floor :D but im confused if it goes straight from tap into tank how can you condition it?

yes. your fish would be fine for a few hours before they get drunk from the tap water (give or take how much you change). just add the water, then add the conditioner. thats what i use for my 55 gallon tanks.

Or, a better way to do it, put the dechlorinater in BEFORE the new water, then the fish wil not be exposed to any chlorine or chloramine in the new water.

The active ingrediant in dechlor (sodium thiosulphate) will remain in water safely awaiting chlorine to bond with (as any pool or hot tub owners who use chlorine filters will know).

Remove the water from the tank. Before reversing the python to fill, add your dechlorinator and refill the tank. SH

look at the product... they come in different lengths ;)

or you can add normal garden hose to make it longer ;)

That's what I do....drain what I want, "feel" for the matching faucet water temp (which I will probably be burned for in this thread), reverse the valve, dump in the dechlor as it begins to refill....watch the fish start breeding like mad. LOL
