Ok i know this may seem a weird question but

After getting my new Juwel Rekord 120 tank i really like the filter type (built in heater etc) as it's all in one "box" and looks very neat in the tank.

I also have a Hagen TropiQuarium 55 with the Trio 2000 filter with seperate heater.....now i hate the look of this tank with that filter and heater.

Can you buy a juwel Heater/filter combo and fit it in the TropiQuarium?

If so what do i need to order? and will it fit in the Hagen tank.

Many thanks

Paul

You could just buy some plastic or perspex and mount everything in the corner and shield it with the 'box'.

With an old tank i had i used black drainpipe cut to 270 degree angles (so they fitted flush to the corners) and mounted the filter in one corner and the heater in the other. All i had to do was make intake holes in the filter cover and vent holes in the heater cover.

Cheers for the info.....sounds like a good plan but the filter in the Hagen tank is big and ugly :D

plus the pump sits on the top/side of it so can't really put it in perspex.

I want to keep the Hagen tank but if i can't change the filter/heater then i may have to save up for the Juwel Rekord 70 tank to match my 120.

just seems such a waste to get rid of a tank all because i don't like the look of it :D

perhaps i'm just tooooooo picky

Cheers

Paul
