Hi guys, I'm wanting to change the bulb on my Elite60 tank.
the current one is the standard "sun-glow" bulb and gives off a horrible yellow light and makes the water look brown.
You can see the fish I have in my sig, I was hoping to find a new bulb/light that would bring out the colours in the fish better, such as the bright almost luminous blue and orange on the rams and the blue on the sevrums cheeks!

I seen some "aquarium/waterproof" LED strips on the web that I was considering putting in instead of the bulb, this way I can run a Day light and a Moon type light too.

Would this be a problem?

Thanks again!

Sorry, just realised this is the total wrong section, mods can this be moved please!

Any tube that you find that will fit your fixture can be used. Fluorescent tubes come in standard wattages for each length, so that will not be a thing that varies among available compatible tubes. The rendered color depends more on the phosphor coating of the tube than on anything else. Once you choose a tube of the desired spectrum, it will look right to you.
