Changing From Gravel To Sand During A Fishless Cycle

Those "sphere bushes" are artificial Marimo moss balls & you could get some real ones to make the tank look ubernice. They need no special attention just chuck em in the tank & enjoy.

i also second Tom's thinking regarding the Marimo. :good:

I was looking for something like the Marimo for my Fluval, but P@H didn't have any & what plants they did have looked in shoddy condition.

Still struggling with mine.

Cheers Tom and ianho, but until I get the cycle finished they will keep the kids happy. Once the fish and plants are in the fake bushes will go "missing" and magically turn into moss balls :hey: .

Awesome job keeping the water that clear, wow - when i did it it took me a couple days to have clear water!

Nice one, looks good :) Some Java Fern on the bogwood and some Java Moss covered hiding tubes will be perfect for the Corys when you get around to the plants :) They take little to no effort to care for, i.e. no requirement for fertilzers.

Are you going to have a crack at breeding Corys? If you are think carefully about the other fish you might add, im certainly no expert, in fact im probably 4/5 weeks ahead of you as my tank is relatively new too. I have neons in my tank which are fine but the Bleeding Heart Tetras are mean gits and always knock the eggs out from under the Corys before they can lay them on the glass. Although that said i have about 40 eggs in a holding net waiting to hatch tomorrow/Thursday :> No clue if they will survive to adulthood though, i'll do my best, but it does add an interesting element to owning fish.

Not in the short term Tizer, but who knows in the future?
