How often should i change the thin white filter the one that holds all the waste,I did read that you should change it regular but how often is regular thanks.

Should'nt need to change it at all, just wash it out in tank water when you do water changes. Don't wash it in tap water as the chlorine will kill the bacteria, and you don't want that!

Never ever ever ever ever change your filter media, its where you benificial bacteria live.


The manufactures say change it regularly so you have to buy more media from them.
