hi i just wanted to know if there is an impact if i change the carbon media in my filter and then add a new fish to my tank the same day about 1 hour or 2 later, is there a better way? my water is just a little cloudy(all my levels are ok) that's why i wanted to change the carbon, should i wait a couple days...
any info would be great and hopefully fast since i already have the fish flotting in my tank

Carbons no real use unless removing meds, you could take it out without any problems :)

take it out and leave th space where it was empty? or would it bebest to replace it with something different?

i would just replace it my water is a little muggy not much but i was thinking that was the reason and it has been over a month last time i changed it

I use a Tetra hang on back filter. It uses the bio bags which come with a pre-filled pouch of activated carbon that one empties into the bio bag. About every two weeks, I rinse the bio bag in some fish water I have siphoned out and then replace the tablespoon or so of carbon that was in the bag with fresh Marineland Black Diamond carbon. Afterwards, the tank water seems much clearer. Tetra calls it "chemical filtration" and the carbon is also useful for removing any metals from tap water you have added during a water change.

Me (and many others) just fill the space with more filter wool :)
