Well today I have changed the lighting on my nano from 2 x 11W 50/50 Compact T5s to a Luminaire which has an 18W Blue and an 18W white tube. The corals went in at first but have started emerging nicely now. The tank does look more blue than it did before and I think i will actually change the blue tube for a 50/50 blue/white tube, that is unless you guys would reccomend I keep the blue tube for algae growth etc.

Bunjiweb.....there are a lot of arguments about the acitinics re: whether they are necessary or not. I would keep them. They do make the tank attractive, but, the blues simulate the wavelength that the zooxanthellae see at depth. Higher spectrum lights, ie, 10,000 -20,000K lights contain the same blue spectrum and probably would be fine, but, I prefer the 50/50 mix. SH
