Change Of Scenery

Spurry, you'd have laughed at my first attempt. Black and white gravel, dodgy artifical cave and a bubble-blowing Nemo. I think the kids have only just forgiven me for getting rid of that @#£$$@ Nemo. :shout:

Fish dont live in trees :/

If you stick pics of your tanks up, you gotta expect both positive and negative comments! :D Im sure they will change in time, all tanks do :D I look forward to the day when you go all natural on us :D

lol... how about a bonsai tree? you can get small bog wood from LFS some with plants/moss groing on them

but on a serious note its your tank and all that realy matters is your happy with it and it running with out problems
if you had have said youve made a fun tank i may have said some thing diffrent but you asked what we thought :good:

btw what did it look like before the moving about?

I'm not sure regarding the driftwood. We alway used to collect ours from local damns or the lake when we went fishing, clean it up a bit and stick it in the tank. Never did my fish any harm. But not had experience of collecting drift wood since i've been in UK

I can take negative comments, but as adults i would have thought taking the P was a bit childish to me. These are my first tanks, so i'm bound to be learning stuff all the time.
They arent big enough for Natural i dont think, but i do admit i'm not keen on the decor.
I too am not sure about how to keep plants..Co2 etc....
oh and fish dont live in logs either :p

Hayley, it's just a bit of banter, he's not seriously taking the mick.

He once told me to man up. This coming from the bloke with a luminous green kitten as an avatar........

check out all the nano tanks people have on here, loooooooooooooads of them are smaller than yours and have natural scapes :) Its only gentle ribbing, as adults we are able to do that without being too serious ;)

what a load of twaddle you dont need grand size to do it, look here http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/content.php?sid=4046 thats simple and would cost far less to do...

also look at the full section http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/browse.php?type=subsection&subsection=25

loads of ideas and most are in small tanks find a style you like and google it get some idea all can be done any size
small tanks just need smaller rock/wood

you can do it :good:

a few plant dont need co2

There are indeedy many options out there, but at the end of the day, you are the one who has to look at your tanks and take enjoyment from them, so you carry on with what you like the look of! :D
