You Beta has had a change in color over the last week. His tail fin has become black and blue. Some of his fins have become ghostly whitish grayish color. He himself has gotten darker. So he is black all around now. He is now to die for...But does anyone know why he has become more dark and handsome? I figure its breeding.

WHAT?

no one understands what you are taking about here fbt...

you said "you betta" assuming you meant "your betta" but maybe you meant "my betta"....assuming you are talking about your own fish..it still doesn't make sense. How does your betta get darker all around yet some fins are whitish grey...

???

Is actually the name of her betta I believe if you have read any of her other posts.

He could be changing colors depending on the food you feed him. Also sometimes they can change with age.

it is most likely the food did you recentley change his food? it wouldnt be breeding and old age usally means they get paler.
Good luck

I have read a zillion of her posts, just not many recently. While breeding their colors will show more. If he's getting more gray then it probably isn't a good sign.

?????? still confused if its getting lighter then surely its not getting darker as well.

black is an under lying pigment on bettas that is masked by the reds and metallic blues and greens, if its going grey then theres a problem, if its going black then theres a pigment change, but the thread doesnt actually state either way, just both ways and this just isnt possible, if my betta was going grey it would more than likely become dead more than to die for.

Its just the tips of his fins. They have always been lighter. I think it is the food. I moved his diet from mix to just Beta Bites in the past couple weeks. nvm I probably should not have poster  Most of you are already ticked off at me. I am most likely just making you guys more mad at me.

We're not mad, a lot of people just wish that you would listen to the good advice you're being given.

I understand where you're coming from as well. FBTgirl is just getting on sooo many people's nerves and quite frankly we're all getting sick of it. I'm not one to lose my temper with people and I'll usually give advice till I'm blue in the face because I care about the fish. But in this case I'm just sick and tired of this girl *sigh*

You sure that does not mean you are ticked at me? It is O.K. if you guys are mad at me.
