I'm looking for advice on which Central American cichlids will work well when kept with various types of hardy plant, tied to wood/rocks (such as Anubias sp). I have had success keeping Thorichthys sp. with Anubias and Java Ferns in the past but I'm wondering what else there is. The tank holds just under 300 litres and is 4 foot long.

Does anybody with experience have some recommendations for me?

Are you looking at something to keep with the thorichthys? and do you want specific central or central and south american types :)

I'm just wondering what would work in that type of tank, really. They wouldn't have to be compatible with Firemouths, or anything. I just want to know what CA cichlids wont tear plants (that are attached to wood) up.
