Whatever you call them, I need to fill my 6ft species tank.....anyone know where I can get reasonably priced CPD's, preferably captive breed - i'm looking for about 200-300!!!!

Exactly what i was thinking... The most I have seen at once in a shop is about 15. Your best bet for getting that many is finding somebody selling a breeding colony and then waiting for the magic to happen!

Its a nice idea though, i bet a tank with 200 CPD's would look great.

Odds are you'll need to breed them to get that many. They are rare and in high demand.

Luckily, the reports are that they are not difficult to breed.

Have you tried wholesalers? They are going to be your best bet for fish in that number.

That or just buying lots of groups that are for sale.

I can't find wholesalers listed on Google, but that was my original plan, seeing as a LFS will have to source that many from a wholesaler, it makes sense (for my wallet!) to find one. idea?

I think the problem you would have with a wholesaler is they only tend to sell to people with a petshop licence.

the first website you gave you can order from them but you have to email them for prices as they are higher than what they are on the list without a pet shop license, but you can get anything form them!

Yes your correct about the licence, although that gives me food for thought....another project for the future maybe! Aquascape i've just found out are the supplier of our LFS anyway.....
