In my tank there are a few hiding places for fish, made from bogwood and a few fake plants. but i'd like to add afew caves for my fish. what solutions are there? can you get hollowed out rocks which look like rocks but have space inside?

I can't get to a fish store very often so I quite like to find out what I want before I go so I can make good use of my time there.

cocanut caves are relatively cheap and you can buy them with anubias or java fern and the like already attatched if you so wish
scot :good:

Yeah I use coconuts as well, strip them and boil them. But if you wanted to go for things like pipes you can get them off ebay quite easily often with plants attached or there are some aquatics plants sites that also sell them but this can be a bit hit and miss in my experience Ive had good and bad batches from java plants and plants alive but if you say got a moss covered tube I imagine it would do pretty well :)

What kind of fish do you have, I use Tufa rock and hollow it out as its very light and porous but it will raise your pH

If you are in the USA you can buy different sizes of rocks that are hollowed out called cichlid stones, you can stack them to make them look natural - here is a link:- (scroll down the page a bit)you cant buy these in the UK yet.

cichlid stones

Or if you are in the UK I bought some cichlid caves which you can also stack - I bought x 3 and stacked them and they look great. You can also buy them seperately Heres a link:-
