hello lawrence i own 2 pictus catfish and also two cuckoo catfish i would say there really peaceful together but to be safe get either one of each or two or more the same of each btw whats ya tank size and other species living in tthere

4ft, 240litre. Clown loach, silver shark, torpedo barb, keyhole chiclid, flash plec. I have just bought a pictus (1) but was debating whether to get a cuckoo. So your saying have even numbers of each as apposed to out numbering one of them?

yes basically just get 1 cuckoo or 1 more pictus or 2 cuckoo ok?

I would say no, because pictus like a ph of 7 and below where as cukoos prefer one nearer the 8 mark. Plus pictus also need to be in groups of 3+ so i would get more pictus before you buy anything else.
