Catfish

It has been long established my Plec and my Bala sharks will need to return to the lfs.

Yes I know but they still fit the tank and are still not too large but still I am a wimp at not being able to do the good deed.

A mate is moving and has offered his cat fish which are silver and do not grow big.

Apparently they keep eating his other fish but they will do well with mine. He looked after mine on holiday.

I have a RIO 400 and the fish are doing well apart from my Green Barbs. Which I am really losing and will not replace.


2 Green barbs =10cm
1 Gibiceps Red plec=40cm
5 Clown Loach=50cm
4 Bala Sharks =80cm
1 Golden Gouramis =8cm

Aprox all in length =188cm

Is this looking for trouble or another move that will snooker me getting any other fish.
If i replace the Gibicepts with these new catfish will they get along as I said I have no probs except for th Green Barbs

Depends what type of catfish they are. Need an ID before moving on.

And see if you can find what species it is. They can't be worse than the common plec thou

just been told they are Pictus Catfish (Pimelodus pictus).
Bit worried re there skin with Clown Loaches ? anyone ideas
