Well I have one 40 gallon and one 30 gallon and a 10 gallon
My Ph is about 7.2 from the tap right now no fish since they are cycling (except for the ten gallon)
I am willing to soften the water if needed

For the 30G
Upside down catfish/Synodontis nigriventris
Banjo catfish
south american bumblebee catfish

For the 40G
any of the ones above or
Holplo
flagtail catfish
pictus

There all fairly common catfish so wasnt hard.

Or a Akysis prashadi. ive just been given one and they only get to 2 1/2" shame i dont have the room long term for the one ive been given.

For the 30 and 40, marbled synodontis,Wood cats,hoplos,emerald cats.
For the 10 gallon,dwarf suckermouths are really the only no cory catfish you can keep.

Marbled synodontis get 6.6 inches long,emerald cats top out at 3 inches,wood cats grow to 5 inches. Hoplos grow to 6 inches.
Dwarf suckermouths only get 1.25 inches. Hope this helps.
