Whats the secret to planting these type of plants in the aquarium,I bought some planted them ,thet just floated away

I have gravel in my tanks

could you be more specific about what plant it is?

Perhaps it could be one of these:microsword, dwarf hairgrass, glossostigma, java moss, or riccia?

I would guess 1-3mm gravel would be sufficient to keep glosso, hairgrass and microsword down. But really it depends on the way you plant them. Now Java Moss and Riccia can be tied to a rock/driftwood with fishing line.
