so i was thinking of growing a plant carpet, as i love the look of them. i wanted to use some sort of grassy plant or maybe a plant i seen in a PFK magazine, cant remember its exact name but i think it was like a 4 leaf clover. i've never grew a carpet of plants before, and i dont have any means of injecting Co2 wether i need that to do this or not i dont know but could someone help me out with a few hardy or easy to grow carpet plants :) ? many thanks :D !

I have pygmy chain sword Echinodorus tenellus, which looks like a lawn that's in desperate need of mowing! It is easy to grow without strong lights or CO2 though.

there are afew types of plants which can carpet
pygmy chain sword as fluttermoth said.
HC- will need co2 in some form (not hard to set up)
dwarf hairgrass
riccia
different types of moss's
Helferi
Glosso
all the plants above will benefit from co2 but its not needed

have a look at my journal. iv got HC and riccia in there with pygmy chain swords at the back and hairgrass in the corner as well as moss on the wood. and will be getting helferi in afew days

you can set up a DIY yeast co2 system for about £5 give or take. and a few bottles
