Hi i was interested in getting some plants to carpet the floor of my 60 litre. i have a grassy plant in there but I have been hearing of moss balls? they cover the floor and whatever they are tided to. but is there a better plant out there that will grown very fast and carpet my floor?

P.s. its tropical, not brilliant lighting but is made up by the addition of CO2

What sort of co2 and what substrate
Look on the net for Hemianthus callitrichoides – HC Capet plant

LB

hi its just a nutrafin co2 system (own solution)
and bottom is sand and gravel

In search in this site, put in 'java moss carpet' and you'll get a topic page with a brill step by step guide to creating a java moss or ricca carpet or wall. they look really good, easy to do, and i dont think they take that long to grow. hope that helps

Its in the pinned topic at the top of this page! http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=101806

Marsilea quadrifolia or a moss carpet would be the bst option, or you can get moss balls and split them up to cover the substrate.

Riccia fluitans or Hemanthius callathricoides will not survive.
