Right now im trying to get a really nice planted aquarium right now I have some fire moss in the tank or flame moss... I just put in today some Riccia Fluitans hoping for better results.... The plants are really healthy but the flame moss is growing really really slow and when you get a 3 X 5 inch section its just not that big and with my big aquarium it would take all day. I got this Riccia Fluitans hoping it will grow faster. Is there any other carpet plants that anyone can suggest. Im looking for a hardy plant that can grow in a regular aquarium with average lighting. My tank is a 40 gal eclipse 3. Oh and I also have 4 RBP's in the tank and they like to kick #### out of some of my plants.. Im basically willing to try anything tho so let me know thanks.

Java fern can give a nice mat I think. Doesn't need CO2, and average lighting will do. But only with fertilizer of course!

i bought some dwarf chain swords from my lfs. they have started sprouting rhisomes and already started spreading out a bit.
