So it's the Canada Day Long Weekend, and there was a carnival in town. One of the games was to throw the ping pong ball into the cups that had fish in them. Well I'm awesome and I won
As far as I can tell it's a commet or feeder gold fish, it's just under an inch long.
Only my 30 gal is big enough to hold a gold fish (Assuming commet goldfish grow large) I have no idea.
But I know gold fish are cold water fish, and both of my tanks are tropical, sitting at around 78-80. Not ideal for goldfish at all.
My question is, is it possible to keep gold fish happy in such temperatures? Is there some happy balance anyone has reached with keeping gold fish in warmer water? Or should I just give said gold fish to my little cousin whose visiting?
I'm not lowering the temp. in either tank below 75 for the sake of my 2$ gold fish though...
He's currently sitting in my 5 gal fry/quarintene tank. He seems happy to be out of the little cup he came in. But He's going to stay in said tank for at least two weeks because I don't trust the conditons they had those poor fish in.
