I've recently bought 7 of these for my heavily planted 34G to deal with minor algae build-up on my slower growing plants. My LFS water is hard and alkaline, pH 8 so I acclimatised them very slowly over 6 hours as my water is pH 6.8. They all swam out of the bag on their own accord and seemed fine, immediately munching away. However I haven't seen ANY of them for 4 days now. Is it likely that they're just hidden by my heavy planting or could they have died due to water chemistry shock. Does anyone know how fragile they are? All my fish are far too small to eat them.

After recently redoing my tank i put my 3 shrimp in and they went straight into hiding and i didn't see them for a week but recently they have been out and about and eating some potatoe i put in for the plec. don't worry about them too much they are in there they are just very good hiders!! by the way your tank is gorgeous!! wish mine looked like that!

I know they're smaller, but I just found one of my Cherry reds inside my HOB filter. Luckily, he was still alive.
