I'm looking at a complete overhaul of my tank to bring it back to life and more interesting again.

At the moment I have quite a mish mash of fish and this time round I'm looking at getting 2 lots of shoaling fish (probably 8-10 of each), a Koi Angel that I have reserved until my tank is back to rights, 2 GBR's and either cory's as as I love them or maybe just one pleco. The guy in the LFS showed me a beautiful striped one that stays small as I don't want a big pleco but I can't remember it's name =\ it was £25 though so I'm a bit unsure!

Anyway, as I'm going to be getting an Angel that is bigger than my previous one (as it died at about the size of 2 50ps) I'm a bit worried that if I stick with my current neons, they will get eaten by the Angel once the lights go off as my friends have experienced. Therefore would cardinals be a better choice as they are slightly larger or would they have the same fate? I also have harlequin rasboras at the moment which I was going to keep as my other shoaling fish but can anyone suggest any other brightly coloured pretty small shoaling fish I could use?

Lastly, anyone from the UK (west midlands area) know anywhere that has good pieces of bogwood/driftwood? I want a nice big centre piece that is tangley, to give height to the tank as its all a bit flat at the moment =\

It's a 125 (33 gallon) tank by the way!
Thanks.

Oops, I've done it again!!! Could this be moved to tropical discussion please? Sorry!!!

Rummy nose tetras [Hemigrammus bleheri] get a little larger than neon tetras and they seem to school very nicely, although I have never kept them. And they would be in keeping with an Orinoco Basin-esque tank, which it seems like you are describing. Also, depending on what your water is like, Bolivian rams [MIkrogeophagus altispinosus] might be easier to keep.
