Carbon Filters

Hi All,

I am about too start treating my fish for Finrot. I need to remove the carbon filter bag from my canister filter. What do I do with bag afterwards can I keep it to reuse or is best to just bin it and get a fresh one out ready for when the fish are cured?

What should I do then just put it in airtight bag, leave in a bowl of tank water, rinse it out and leave it to dry? Sorry I dont know what to do for the best.

How long have you been using the carbon before you had to treat the tank? If its been more than a week or two you might as well just get rid of it and put a new one in afterwards. Most carbon only lasts about 2 weeks after being added to a tank.
