When you stopped using medication and put back in the carbon in your filter, how long before you can take it out again to get rid of all the medication within your tank?

Can i ask I'm just treating my Betta with parasite med, and it's only the one betta with no other fish. so will i need to put carbon in or just a water change.

I would just do the water change. A good 40 to 50% change to let the water start to stabilise at its normal values (e.g. before meds were added) then a few days later Id do a normal 30% change just to ensure that water conditions are at their best to let the little guy heal fully and keep on-top of any risk of secondary infections (he may be weakened by the process of being medicated)
