Can't Tell If Pregnant Or Fat!

This Fish (Some sort of Platy) is REALLY Big. She has gotten big over the past few weeks and I don't know if she is planning on giving birth, or if she is just fat. Will post pic below!

Looks pregnant. She's pretty btw. When I look at one of my platys and even think "fat" then I assume she's pregnant. I don't see a lot of fry unless I take effort to save some. Just a thought.

She's clamped in the photo, but she looks a little square, so hopefully thats because she about to have her fry. If she doesn't have fry and starts acting funny, I would get serious.

Someone will chime in here soon I'm sure to verify if I am right. I am not an expert and am only going on my own experiences so far

UPDATE: she is laying on th gravel, acting very slow and sluggish, appearing ill in some way. Any help there ? Is this normal behavior if she is pregnant?

Is that recent behavior? One of mine gets lazy and hides under the heater before she drops fry.

I wasn't sure what is up so I moved her to the 1 gallon tank. She frequently is side by side with my Male Mickey mouse platy, but recently she is inside the very small castle I have in the tank. This behavior of sitting on the rock has never happened before.

Mine looked exactly like that. (sane fatness coloring etc) and she was clamped and hiding. Sadly though I think mine had a problem so I returned her to petco yesterday I guess I'll never know if she's pregnant.

I'll check on her In the morning. I've been checking to make sure she hasn't died though. I think I will return her to the main tank.

Sadly, she just passed.

She may have died in labor, which can happen, but just in case I would do a nice sized water change in your main tank. Sorry for your loss.
