on a recent trip to an lfs they had a ctfish that i cant for the life of mr remember its name, common or latin
this description is very vague and ill be amazed if anyone can tell me what it was but thought it was worth a go
it was a light brown/sandy colour and about 6 inches in length. it was quite a wide fish that got very wide towards the head with a huge mouth the width of it... it was totally submerged under the gravel and without really looking for it you would never have seen it! the assistant put hid hand into the tank and lifted it out of the gravel so i could see it and within a minute it had dived into the substrate again totally covered. i cant remember seeing big whiskers but as it was a catfish it must have had some...
ive looked on planet catfish and didnt know where to start to be honest and gave up
ive never seen 1 before and was quite intrested in researching it a bit more. told you it was a poor description and vague but i thought that i would test all of you catfish experts minds
10 browny points for the fishes name
just to add it was like the banjo catfish in overall shape with a huge mouth and head.
im making it too easy for you guys now......
