Cant Have A Piranah But What Can I Have

What are the dimensions of the tank? (LxWxH in cm)

would this be on for my tank tho ?

nope, not in a 60L (15USG)

I'd drop the bristlenose as the tank isn't that big and go for 3-4 ottocinclus,
The revised stocking is still more than suggested for that tank size but with good filtration and maintenance it is doable

A pair of Bolivian
4 ottos
6 Glowlight Tetras
6 Black Widow Tetras

that seems fair to me... and good number of fish.. definitly definitly want bolivians tho...

not sure about the ottos.. dis you mention them as they will be usefull in such a tank or just because you like them ?

thanks

don't you think the black widows would be a bit big? they're one of the larger tetras after all.

not 100% but just throwing the thought out there, not sure if i'd be comfortable keeping them in a 15 gal, i'd stick to the smaller species if it was me.

it doesent matter anyway i was just using them as an example..

Black Widows grow to about the same size as Neons 5cm

EDIT: What are the dimensions of the tank? (LxWxH in cm)

Neons can get to 4cm.
Black Widow tetras can get to 5cm and sometimes a bit bigger.
Davo86's stocking recommendation is the one I would go with mate.

ohh yer soz the tank is... 60x30x30

The inclusion of the otos was simply me replacing an algae eater (bristlenose) for much smaller Algae Eaters (otos) that will not effect the bioload anywhere near as much,
However if you keep the tank in good condition you shouldn't have algae problems and the need for an 'Algae Eater' will be removed.

Neons can grow bigger than 4cm. Some of mine (not many 4) are at least 5cm

its oly a small tank so i can clean it easily so its not a problem.. and do those alge eaters realy do the job or do they only eat a bit of algie?

They really do do their job! The bristlenose will eat all the algae, but creates a lot of waste. Ottos are very sensitive, and need a mature tank, they are often in poor condition in lfs, so not many people have much luck with them, hopefully somebody else can point you to a good source.

An alternative would be shrimps eg amano shrimps, they are algae eaters, no strain on the bioload of a small tank, and fun to watch too! Should be ok with rams, but might be worth having some shrimp-sized hidey holes just in case.

I like rams but for some reason never got any... I have cockatoo dwarfs cichlids, which are smaller, and you keep 1 male to 2 females.

Silvertip tetras are great fish to watch, and hugely underrated IMHO! Wait til the evening and they start playing, chasing each other around. Also look stunning with the right light as their tips really glow.

HTH

A lot of tiger barbs. From my experience, they're crazy. .__.

miniature piranhas. D:

The tank is small. I would suggest some livebearers. There really isnt enough room for a shoal of tetra's. They need lots of swimming space.

thanks for all the advice people... and im definitly considering some shrimps.. are there any colorfull varieties out there that are quiet small... i havent realy lookd into any shrimps..
