so within the next week im going to be plating up my tank properly,
first off though, im sticking to like an asian theme with the fish, upping my shoal of false harlequin, either getting a betta or a pair of sparkling gourami and a small group of khuli's

i dont know what plants i could use though

firstly i decided on
tall hair grass
Ceratopteris Thalictroides
Heteranthera Zosterfolia
Miriophyllum Matogrossense
Tonina Fluviatilas
Echinodorus rosea
Eustralis stellata
Microsorium pteropus
java fern

i had a pretty good picture in my head of how id set this up :)

but then i was thinking of sticking to a more strict asian theme and just going with asian plant types; all i can find though is. twisted vallis, most of the crypt and rotala species and some hygrophila, but i didnt think that gave me much to work with

so what do you guys think should i stick to the strict asian fish and planting idea, or should i just go with my asian type fish and my first idea for planting :) ?

I like your original plant listing but with stellata you need CO2 and ferts really it's a difficult plant.

thanks steveo :) yeah when i was looked through the website it told me that it would be a difficult plant to keep, i just really liked the look of it so i added it to my list lol! i'll probably go for something a bit easier though :)!

cant wait to get my tank all planted up :D

Good luck mate, I've had stellata 3 times and killed it twice lol, it also randomly stops growing for no reason too, weird bit beautiful. The one I have now it's going well tho, starting to flower now too :).

thankyou! :) yeah i just noticed your post saying its starting to flower, look forward to seeing the pics :good:
