Hi,

In a bit of a jam here. My Eheim 2126 Thermofilter's flow was reduced, so I thought I had better give it a clean. I cleaned the media in tank water but didn't touch the hoses or internals of the cannister. I've just put it all back together and it's not priming. I've taken it apart again and read the manual but can't really figure it out. Can anyone help!? I've got my credit card on standby to go and get another filter but it's only 3 months old!

Cheers

Shouldn't ever clean the filter material with tap water....
Kills off your cycling bacteria....
I'd post this in the hardware D.I.Y section, i'd think you'd get a better response there....
:dunno:

Sorry, in a hurry I typed tap instead of tank. I cleaned it in tank water. In the meantime I've stuck the media compartments in a bucket of tank water with an airline..... I thought Eheim were supposed to be reliable.....

Found a spring thing dislodged. Took it out and re-attached it to the flow indicator and tried again and it worked. Don't know why as that is the output but at least it's working...... I'm going to buy an internal filter and a backup heater this afternoon though!!!!!
