Can You Use Two Filters

i made a mistake of thinking my filter broke and immediatly went and bought a new one, i did put the old sponges in the new one, only to find that it wasnt broke and i had been a bit....errr.....blonde, will it be any benifit to put both filters in my tank, 55Lt old and new one together, or it is just wasting electric and keep it as a spare just in case mine does actually break

It could be wasting electricity if you dont need it. Ask yourself "do i need to use a second filter". How is the flow in the tank (slow, medium, fast). How much space will having two filters use in the tank. Is one filter keeping the water clean on its own?

ok will keep it as spare, you never know when youll need it.....OR, i could start another tank, might have to pursuede hubby though
