Can You Use Normal Ferts For Fishtanks?

I bought some slow release plant food tabs for my window herbs, but ive got loads left over, are they toxic in water or will they act just the same as aqaurium root tabs?

Dont worry i havent just thrown them in, just wondering so I dont waste them

I wouldn't like to try ! What i would do is see if you can find the ingredients if theyre the same as your typical grow tab in the aquairum then go for it, if there's anything differernt i'd give it a miss.

For ferts for aquariums make your own ferts its really cheap and easy to do. Google Eestimative index i think its called.

No they don't look particularly solid..

I was just wondering, don't want to waste any, and yeah ive seen about making your own ferts, i might try it when ive not got 6 trillion exams coming up!
