Can You Mix

yea i have an angel in my 30g with both guppies and platys. they are fine. but theres a chance it may be agressive and attk your male guppies because of there fins.

In that size (26 US g), if you want to breed angels, your best bet is to get 6 juvies and let them pair off naturally. 2 is definitely the max for that size tank long term so if you want to do this, you will need to rehome the other 4. Plus, you need to have a plan for what to do with the fry. Do you want the parents to raise them? Many angels are not very good parents and may very well eat the fry. If you plan on raising the fry, you will need growout tanks as angels can produce very large spawns. I strongly recommend checking out this site before launching your endeavor: http://webrbiz.com/angelfish/amh.html

You could have 7 or 8 full size angels in there - the general rule of thumb is that you need 10g per angel. However, if you get a breeding pair, they may become aggressive and you may still have to rehome some of your angels.

how do you sex angels
It's extremely difficult - even experts have a very hard time. The only surefire way to tell is if you see them spawning and see which one lays the eggs. There are a few hints and clues such as shape of head, angle of fins, rate of growth, etc. but as I said, they are not reliable and the only way to know for sure is to see them spawn - also the ovipositors are different shapes, but again that requires them to be ready to spawn.
