Hi ,i`ve got a 28l tank with 5 neon tetras ,1 betta and 2 freshwater shrimp ,can i keep 2 bamboo shrimp in with these, also does anyone know where i could buy them in birmingham?

Do you have to have to count bamboo shrimp in with your stock as i`ve got a 110l ,that i could house a couple in ?

Bamboo shrimp need a strong current and since you have a Betta I don't think you can have a bamboo shrimp with betta

Yes, you can. I have 6 bamboo shrimp with my betta and he doesn't pay them any attention. The strength of the current is somewhat important in that there does have to be a current but it doesn't have to be frantic. All my bamboo shrimp sit quite a distance from the filter output. What's most important is that the shrimp get enough to eat. You can have a raging current but if there isn't enough micro food in the water column, they will be crawling on the ground looking for food. If the aquarium isn't established, they need some food crushed up with a mortar and pestle and swirled into the water column.
