Can You Guys Recommend A Heater For My 55 Gallon Tank

Hi!
I live in Utah and it is about to get cold. I do not use a house heater cause I love the cold but my fish don't so I need to keep them in check.
Which one do you guys recommend?

A single 250W heater would be adequate depending on your home's ambient temperature, but 2 150W heaters would do a better job.

I find that using two smaller heaters is better for a tank that big in case one breaks. I have also found that the Visitherms are the most reliable glass heaters in the trade (some 50 odd heaters later) unless you go for ceramic ones such as Newatts.

If you keep yopur home at least at 70F or near that value, a 250 W heater should be enough to keep your fish at tropical temperatures. The "standard" is 5 watts per gallon.
