I have a 15 litre plastic tank for a Beta and was wondering if I could have any live plants even though it is not fitted with a light. It is facing a window so it does get some light and you can see through the lid so it doesn't look dark in there.
I was told I would be able to have Java moss, fern or crypts as they will do well in poor light is this true?
Thanks in advance for any comments.

I've got a small bowl and it gets only the light from a ceiling fan and the plant is growing better than the ones in my tank with 80 watts of lighting and all kinds of co2 and chemicals. Depends on what plant you get really. I don't know the name of the plant i have...sorry.

Thanks, if anybody knows any other plants that grow in poor light could you please let me know.

Vallis, java moss, that's all I know of for now i'm afraid. Maybe duckweed, well I know it takes over most tanks, so I reckon it's easy to grow!

Thanks,
I will give the plants you said a try.

Anubias is good in low light becouse it does not grow fast.

i have had mine under 24 watts for 4 days and trimmed it twice already

Thanks very much for all your suggestions, I will be giving them all a try now and see how I do.
