Can Stunted Fish Have Babies?

So, if you had a platy who hadn't grown in the year since you bought her because she was in a small tank, and then moved her into a big tank, would you expect her to grow any more, and could she still have babies/would it be dangerous for her to be pregnant? Just wondered because I heard that stunted growth in fish often means that although the fish does not get any bigger, the internal organs carry on growing.
 
Does anyone have any experience to share for this?

in fish as small as platys, i dont think organ growth is something that would happen. Yes, a stunted platy would still give birth, but maybe to smaller fry, or they may have a higher chance of chronic disease
