Can Platy And Guppy Male Be Gay?

i have a tank with one male platy and two female and one male guppy with two female guppy. and no one has been pregnant or is pregnant for at least 5 months now??? so can males be gay??? and just not like the girls? becuase i know that they are suposed to breed like rabbits. but not mine. and i know that it could be the water, but its not i do frequent water changes every week and test the water every week. could they be???

That is odd. Five months is plenty of time for the fish to mature if they weren't already. We're positive about the sexes of the fish? Are we also sure they have not already been pregnant, birthed and the fry were eaten?

positively sure that males are males and females are female. i check on them everyday and watch them a lot. there is no way i would have missed fry. im 100% sure about that.

Any fry can easily be eaten by the fish within a hour so you may be very unlucky OR...you have some strange livebearers

its not that weird, i hav a tank with 2 female platys and 1 male and they havent bred, ive had them in the tank for about a year now

Yes, some males do not understand the concept of mating. Usually when they were not around females during their vhildhood. My male is not too excited about any of my female guppies... but who knows.
