Can Male Platies Have Gravid Spots

Hello, recently I have got some 2 male platies and 1 female ( i know I know I need it get 3 more females, I will plan on doing this on Saturday ) but to the real question, one of my "males" looks like s/he has a gravid spot, he has a genopodium, but I was wondering why he has a "gravid spot"

My guess could be stress not sure none of my males have ever had gravid spots besides the females
