i am about to receive alot of java moss

my plan it to put it in a spare 20l tank with water, no filter or heater or light. just by the window

will dose liquid carbon to get it healthy again, will it grow just suspended in the water? my plan it to get it healty then sell it on here or will i have to attach it to something?

also if i was to use liquid carbon, if i put an air stone in would it remove the carbon or would it stay in the water because its in liquid form?

also how long could i go without water changes if tere is no filter? no animals will be in there

cheers

I've got a large measuring jug of Java moss that is sat in water near the kitchen window to keep it ticking over as I'm trying to sell it.

I change the water every other day but that's it and I'm sure it's growing.

Some of mine is on the window sill while i sort the tank out, seems to be growing nicely

will an air stone gass off the carbon or because it is in liquid form will it just stay in there?

no it wont, what i do, is get some cotton wool and put it in a tray and drench it and make sure it stays drenched, and then just have the java moss sitting on top of the cotton wool. the water line is just above the cotton wool by a few mm, i dont dose carbon, i let it take atmospheric carbon.

TBH, with Java moss you don't have to worry about co2.
If you do a quick water change each day or two it'll be fine. By doing a water change you'll be adding some co2 in the water.

Just leave it in there and it'll do great.

good idea. would kitchen roll be ok? and the moss is kind of sitting in the water but some strands are exposed to the air?
