Do think it is okay to breed a Betta just for experience or is that cruel I am thinking about breeding them and then using the fry as live food for other fish and maybe keep 1 or 2 I already know about feeding live food and conditioning and that stuff vertical bars getting fat etc I will feed the fry to goldfish, danios, other Betta, and endlers

If you want live food then it's just easier to hatch brine shrimp or breed live bearers, not that they're of much nutritional value anyway, unless you gut feed.

I really just want the experience I don't know what to do with the fry so I decided to feed it to the other fish

Why not try to breed something you can actually sell on to an lfs or locally? Breeding something for the sake of saying you managed to do it but then destroying the fry seems a little strange to me.

I get that, I just don't see why you just want to get the fry to appear and then just get rid of them, why not see it through and raise them? That's more of a project.

But to answer your original question do I think it's ok to breed bettas to feed to other fish? I don't like the idea myself, but there's nothing stopping you.
