Can I Use This

Can I use this in the bowl I thought it would be okay for a week of 2 without filtration if I did daily water changes I was horribly wrong so I wonder if I could use this extra filter I have is it okay it sticks a couple of inches out the top

P.S the water does not go over the top of the round tube coming out the filter and it's an undergravel filter
the tubing only go's over the water by a couple inches

and when i turned it on in the tank the betta avoided it then when i turned it off he started to check it out shold i be worried about this

oh yeah and it is meant for a one gallon so i think it will filter out enough

never really filtered something so small personally myself, i cant see why it wouldnt work tho also how deep is the water? couldnt you get a cheap small internal ?

Unfortunately I bought a squat bowl that is only hlf a foot tall and I don't know where to get an internal one that small oh wait nevermind I just remembered a DIY spong filter sorry but thanks for the help

filters like the interpet mini might fit there only small and suitable for tanks up to roughly 40litres so u can even get a bigger bowl

think the easiest soloution would be to buy a bigger bowl. I'm sure you could find glass bowls quite cheaply.
