Cn I use fishing line to tie java moss to a coconut shell cave? Then, when it roots its self to the cave, ill take it off.

OK, one more question, how long does it take for java moss to root itself to something?

It took mines about a week..and then I took off the fishing line. It was already rooted, but not too well. So I'd say to let it have two weeks and then it will be rooted pretty well.

One more thing..you don't have to use fishing line, which I didn't after that because it was a hassle. You could use a couple of gravel pieces to just hold down the java moss over the coconut cave. It will still get attached, and it seems a lot easier. All I used were four gravel pieces to hold the four corners down and I never had to remove the gravel because the java moss grew over it.

Oh, well too late now but i guess i could try that in the future. It really wasnt that hard to do with fishing line, but thats for that info.
