Can I Turn A Marine Tank Back To A Tropical Tank

hi im after a aqua one 850 style or 980

ive seen a nice aqua 850 locally good price but problem is it was used as a marine tank

it has a skimmer ,reo 100 pump,sump and heater ... the only thing i no is the heater..

1) can this be turned back into a tropical tank ,

2) how easy would it be,

3) what would i need to clean it out with,

4) do i need new filters and sponges ,

5) is anything listed with it usable with tropical set up

6) if items useless could they be resold ?

thanks i really dont want to loose this tank if it can be made back to tropical .as cheapest ive seen it in uk for is £380. new.

yup can be turned back with no problem

just get rid of the skimmer

rinse the whole system through a few times with freshwater to get rid of any salt

keep the sump - when i converted a marine back to tropical i filled the sump with ceramic rings so it now acts as an external filter
