i have a 190ltr tank with an aquis 1050 extenal filter.

i currently have

6 cardinal tetras
4 scissor tails
4 cardinals
2 popendetta furcatta
1 denisonii barb
2 rams
2 african dwarf frogs
1 starlight bristlenose

is there any room for maybe a hong kong plec? or anything else?

I'd say you probably still have room for another group of fish quite easily, but i would be looking to bump up the Denisonii barbs to at least 6 as they can be quite agressive in small very numbers, im also assuming your tank is 4 foot long here....

a couple of scissor tails wouldnt go amiss either.

I would possibly consider getting rid of the popendetta's as they prefer a more calm water where as the denisonii like a faster pace of water.

you could probably fit a small group of corys in the tank, assuming you have a sand substrate or a super fine gravel.

the tank is 100cm l x 55h x 40d so about 3.3'

funny you should say that as the popendettas love the current and are always at the top of the tank swimming against the flow and flairing up their fins.

also the barb is very placid. and is used to being on his own as when i got him he had been in a tank with chichilds for 4 months.

i was under th eimpression that as they are all going to grow larger i was very close to my limit for the tank

Fish always behave differently when not in a group with their own kind. Its like owning a dog, if you have one, it sleeps a lot, if you have two, they play with one another.

I would say it is quite full yes, but im only adding 5 barbs. the cory idea is something you would have to think about, you could get a small species like pandas or pygmy.

Everyone over stocks their tank, its just something we do, but not everyone will add more filtration or more frequent water changes. So aslong as you are not lazy and are dedicated to keeping yoru fish healthy, you can over stock slightly.

i dont think i have any room for more denisonii's as they will grow too big.

i do a weekly water change of 10%

In that case i would ditch it and bump up the numbers of the other fish and if you really want more fishies consider some corys.

10% is ok, better than nothing :) if you over stock it, change more.
