Can I Put Sand In My Tank

Hi i have a rio 180l tank, i have a great selection of fish but hoping that my dawf frog is happy, hes on his own at the moment but will add 1 or 2 more for him soon, i want to put some sand in one corner of the tank were he tends to stay. CAN I USE BEACH SAND, IF I BOIL IT. ARE SAND IS VERY FINE AND CLEAN.
What is the best little habbitat i can make fore him.
He seems to love bloodworm, and live brine shrimp. he love algee tablet he sits on it to fend off fish. lol
He seems happy but all i have is gravel and plants

Hi,

If you want to use sand get play sand for kids sand pits, £2.48 in argos for a big bag. Alternatively pool filter sand is also good and the fish shops will sell sand but its expensive from there. Beach sand will have salt and lots of potential baddies that you don't want in you tank so it's best not to use it.
