hi,can i put angels in a tank with pseudotropheus estherae cichlids?

or how many angels can i have in a 75 ukg tank about 18" high

THEY ARE JUVENILES BOUT 1" in size

thank you in advance

Mbuna are fairly aggressive and will probably kill an angelfish, also the water quality requirements for these two species are completely different.

Water isnt a problem. I have spawning angels in a ph of 8.4-8.6. It dosent seem to have stopped them. Now, for the Mbuna and angels. I dont recommend putting any african cichlid in with angels ( maybe kribs, but even then, be VERY watchful). The Mbuna see the long flowing fins and just got at them. Plus the fact the angel wont be able to hold his own with such agressive cichlids.

Captive bred angels often breed in harder tap water, however over here they won't. I once tried it and ended up with stunted fry.

You should be able to have around six specimens in your 75 gallon tank.

I vote 10 angels, at least. I have 6 in my 30g. Just to pair off, and they are full grown, and they get along.

I assume you mean small specimens, by the time they are fully grown (15cm/6") they will need an even bigger tank.

No. I mean, 6 inch tall specimens. The tank is 18 inches tall. And one is a veil tail. She is about 10 inches tall.

5 gallons per angel is pretty standard for full size angelfish (more for high quality breeding pairs). Though with 10, if you end up with several pairs, the tank could turn messy pretty quick. I'd go with 2 or 4 in a community. If you already have the mbuna, stick with mbuna. If you have both, make the choice and rehome the spares.
