Ok, my goal is to have a pair of Kribensis in my 75 gallon tank... that is what I am building my tank around.
Keeping that in mind, I talked to the 'guru' of fish in a lfs. He -seems- very knowledgeable...
He suggested putting in 3 black fin catfish/columbian sharks in with them. Does that seem like a fish that would work with the Kribensis?

Another fish that that he suggested was some Angels.

I want cichlids, but want the least aggressive that I can get. I want a variety of fish. What else would work with the Kribensis?

As far as I'm aware, Columbian Sharks are brackish fish and potentially reach 12" so I wouldn't put them in your tank.
As for tankmates, it all depends what type of fish you like. You could get away with another pair of Cichlids so consider looking at Bolivian Rams.
Shoaling fish could include faster moving fish such as Rasboras, Danios and some Tetra.
