Can I Get Help With Cold Water Fish On Here?

hello everyone
im just wondering if i can get help with coldwater fish on here?
i know its a tropical forum but the info on here is great.
and lots of pros on here also.

There's a coldwater sub-forum further down the page.
It's not quite as busy as up here, but me and a few others pop in every now and then :) If it's a new tank I don't see why you sohuldn't post in here though!

Yeah there are loads of people that are knowledgeable on coldwater fish on this forum. Infact, there is a whole section on it lol!! I have kept coldwater fish for several years now, but i am positive that there are people on this forum that are WAY more knowledgeable than me!! :D I will try and answer any questions that you have though!! There is almost no difference between the care of cold water and tropical fishes. Most of my livebearers are really not tropicals, they are subtropical. In a normal home they do not need tank heaters to be comfortable but they are not cold water like a goldfish. A goldfish can survive an outdoors pond where the surface of the water freezes over in winter. That would kill my unheated subtropical fish. Any questions you may have, besides temperature restrictions, would probably fit just fine here in the tropical discussion areas.
